Oatmeal and Bananas

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Dry Organic Quick Oats (150 calories)
  • 1 – 4 oz. Medium Banana (100 calories)
  • 2 – packets of Truvia® (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon (optional)

For this recipe, I use Full Circle Organic Quick Oats — they are nutrient dense and low calorie. Pour 1/2 cup of dry oats into a microwave safe bowl and add 1 cup of water. You can cut up the banana and add it before cooking (if you like mushy bananas in your oatmeal) or add them afterwards. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes, let stand for about a minute, stir and enjoy. I like to add the Truvia® (or Stevia) before cooking, but it is a matter of personal taste.
